after watching this, your brain will not be the same.

after watching this, your brain will not be the same.

The talent you will see is unbelievable if you teach yourself to read and write more but also teach teach others.  We find out so much about the universe we never thought possible when we read about experiences and/or the universe itself.

I’ve been writing since I was a child. I remember writing a 6-page paper (lined paper) in third grade about ghosts and haunted houses and my friends and the scary lady. I’m not much of a grammar person; I seem to do well in photography and literature naturally.

Other subjects I learn and still have a hard time grasping.  I was in lower math in high school, but both my parents are accountants.  I can’t hear as well in my left ear, and it’s just now, I’m seeing the parallels between having surgery as a child and the formation of the left side of my brain.

When I was six months old, I had a rare ailment. It’s called ectopic neural tissue, and it’s an excess or part of brain tissue that grows somewhere other than your head. It’s a congenital disability that I was fortunate to get fixed.  My parents noticed a small lump that was appearing on my neck’s left side was not getting smaller but growing.  It was proliferating, and causing me to lose weight, and I struggled to breathe.  Eventually, sooner rather than later, the growing ectopic neural tissue would completely cover my throat, and I would have suffocated to death.

The lump was growing, daily, weekly, and monthly and eventually, I couldn’t breathe.  My parents had taken me to  many doctors, and none could help until the day I should have suffocated- I was saved by a scientific man with a creative mind.  I was saved by a genius brain because this particular doctor used skills I don’t see in Veterinary Medicine often, creativity, and common sense  to come up with the idea to invent a tool small enough to fit in my neck.  He envisioned this tool in his mind, thus, making it real.

If you can dream it, you can believe it.

At six months, the lump had become and emergency as it grew too  close to everything on my heads left hemisphere near my eyes, ears, and nose, without the doctor who invented this microscopic sized surgical instrument, I would have slowly died infront of my family by suffocation.  This is because in 1990 there were no instruments small enough to save me.  Inventing a tiny tool that was small enough to extract the tissue in surgery from my tiny neck was him “just doing” he didn’t think, he didn’t wonder, he just tried to find the answer to a question, while the other doctors didn’t bother to try and fix anything.  The problem in society is once we get a degree we become all-assuming.  Doctors tend to think they know all there is to know since they graduated.  Science is endlessly learning.  There is no way to know everything, and humans barely know enough about science as it stands alone.  Learning is life long and this particular doctor use creativity and quick thinking.   He is the  why I’m here today.  This story is why you should consider reading.

Other doctors had said nothing was wrong or they don’t know the diagnosis. This doctor created the diagnosis and the cure. Just because the doctors didn’t know what was wrong with me didn’t mean nothing was wrong. It’s the inability to be vulnerable and the craving to follow, not lead, and caring too much what people think of you and your reputation that blind you from actually thinking about the fact that peoples lives are in your hands.  I see it everywhere, in every human being, but not learning?  Well that’s just stupid.  No pun intended.  To read is to learn to learn is to write to write is to share to share is to save the world. The doctor who created the tool on my neck is a genius. He may have been the worst student, the crazy kid, perhaps suffers from drug and alcohol problems, who knows. A genius is simply someone that invents a mad idea. They try and try and try until something works.  A genius researches and asks why to absolutely everything.  They’re curious by nature, and find solutions to worldwide problems because they cant rest until something fits in their heads and they figure incredible things out. They love one thing for sure. Asking the question, how come? To everything and everyone. It understands the combination of the present and the things you’ve learned in the past that allow you to create or envision something.

I don’t know what it’s like not to be able to write or dream, but I do know what it’s like not to be able to count ounderstand numbers.  I think having Alexa, or Siri, or any assistant is very helpful.  You have google at the tip of your fingers.   Nothing should be an argument.

I know genius,’ “potentials” but they aren’t truly genius’ because they aren’t industrious. You have to have a mad imagination to figure out something like the idea of gravity. Good job, Newton.

You are not going to be good at every skill you try, and that is  okay! Does it suck that I can’t sing? Really, not at all. Now I know, and I do it for fun anyway. There’s a difference between trying to achieve the impossible and daydreaming. I know me, I know my capabilities, I can’t be everything I want to be. Sadly, I am very good at a few things, and I spread myself thin and spattered all over the place, and I feel this sort of every day is a different project day.

My WordPress blog doesn’t have a niche. My writing is multi versed. It’s impossible to choose just one thing for me to discuss. Trying to cover the topics I care about and I know about.  Being a scientist, and a creative writer?  Well, I just pictured myself doing it.  So it’s going to happen.

I’m a non actively working Veterinary Nurse, cat and dog behavior expert, Veterinary Medicine educated, Photographer, Writer, Reader, and Graphic Designer.

I run 17 different Facebook pages. Seventeen. One has over 1k, and the others are touch and go. I have too much to do, and this is anxiety at it’s finest.  I don’t even remember making a lot of them, that’s how many ideas flow through my brain.

What I’ve noticed is that everyone being home (pandemic couch lock) is the opposite of me, and I’m unemployed. They do their work either in the office or at home then watch depressing shit until it’s time for bed.

STOP FEEDING YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND GARBAGE.

Again, it can read, it can write, and it can listen.  You have to treat your brain with care, and I promise investigative discoveries murder shows bring absolutely no value to your life.

Stop living to survive and live because you’re here! That’s scarce chances that you, specifically DNA wise, exist here on planet earth.

What if you are not miserable?  I mean you feel miserable, maybe, but that’s this moment.  What if you could just do what you wanted?

One year ago, today, I went through a tragedy where I had to surrender one of my dogs. Anyone that knows me knows that that could damn near kill me. It does still. It was also something that got me to quit drinking, go to therapy (online therapy bots), and live for the sake of living, not just for surviving. Like everything I’ve ever owned, I lost all my belongings, but nothing could hurt me more than losing my puppy. I raised my dog as a puppy, and the thought of her in a shelter destroyed me. Though the circumstances were unchangeable even to a Veterinary Professionals degree, it’s a wake-up call to some other actions that lead to the event of losing my pet. I had to think about what I was doing in my life that made my life horrible. I sat down with a notebook and wrote about my past couple of years. Reading back to myself, it seemed like I wasn’t reading my own words. I reread it the next day, and it was also like someone telling my story- I even used a word I don’t understand but in the correct way. Then it dawned on me. My subconscious mind can only read and write and listen.

What messages did I need to tell myself?  What messages HAVE I been missing?

This past year, quitting alcohol and avoiding patterns has been the most significant year of my life. I don’t take any day for granted anymore. I stay ahead of the trends. Talk to me in person, I can’t explain how to use a mousepad, but my subconscious mind could write you a technical essay. It’s time to put your conscious mind to sleep for a bit. Ever get gut feelings or intuitions? That’s your subconscious. If your conscious mind is blocking you, then you need to trick yourself into learning something. It would be best if you were a teacher and a student. Anything can be fun. Have you ever cleaned and blasted feel-good pop music? Youl be dancing all over the place.

We do not have enough writers in the world. Truly. We are missing things in society, especially in technological advances and IBM, because we’re all distracted by the ad our phones gave us. Is your life shitty? Then fix it. That’s my only answer, and it’s probably right. Look outside of the news.  Actually, fuck the news.  Don’t even watch that garbage.  Do something mentally feel good.  Watch Rick and Morty.

I can’t expect everyone to be as refreshing as me as again, I am an animated human being, I’ve always had too much energy, but I find people and strangers so interesting. It does confuse me why we naturally seem not to listen or do anything we know we should. How we don’t trust our neighbors, but we trust big corporations.  I love my iphone but I know that Steve Jobs wasn’t a good guy.  He was just a genius’.

If you read a little each day, you will, by pattern, learn it as a habit after 23 days and by 90 days have it engraved into you. Read ONE page of a book every day. Just one. 23 days straight. Then if you hate it, give up. I think youll love eventually reading  books. Reading is how we learn, and learning is fun when you’re a big kid like me. I’m bored of Donald Trump and all that junk- Dear ABC7 LAMEO’S tell me more about the artificial intelligent machine that is expected to understand the language of Dolphins and their secrets.  Now that, is some cool ass news.

Don’t bite off more than you can chew.   Like my dad always said: “Inch by inch life is a cinch, yard by yard life is hard.” No one wants to read. Reading was a taught skill, and books are personal because you need to read ones that cater to you, that fit your timeline of life. Being forced to read has created a society of anti-readers, which breeds nothing. We need more writers, and EVERYONE can write.

No one wants to do things unless they want to do it for  themselves.  Learning, do you want to learn?  If you tell me to do something, it’s a chore; if you dust and make it look neat, I’m going to want to try it. It would help if you liked the things you desire. Because if you don even take steps to get there, it won’t happen.

There is never going to be a time where everything you dream comes true because you sat around and didn’t even bother to do anything about your circulating thoughts. You have to just literally start. 5,4,3,2,1…

Whether you want my suggestions, or the random fortune cookie- pick a random prompt in a word of wisdom book, do not change it, it has to be written without you knowing how to write it.  I want you to meet your subconscious mind.  You wont meet your subconscious mind until you let it speak for itself.  What are you doing the next 12 minutes?

I started the 12-minute creative writing prompt with my boyfriend. He’s an excellent writer; from listening to him, I could tell. He never could jumpstart until he did. We were doing activities (love coloring), and I told him to write about a creative topic for ten minutes, and he could stop. He wrote for 12 minutes, and 12 more.

I’m proud to help anyone who needs a prompt and a coach as I’ll be adding the stories to my page if whoever is writing consents in honor of learning to write by just starting. I just demonstrated how to do it. I may even publish this without rereading or running it through Grammarly. [update 9:15 pm ran through Grammarly. Over 103 suggestions! Lucky I’m a writer, not a proofreader.]

Make your next moment a different moment, because all we are is this moment

Comment, and I will give you a prompt; we can do this.

and here I present, the first, of what I hope is many, 12 minute creative challenge submission.

Title: Be prepared to lose once in a while

Written by anonymously submitting

December 18th, 2020

Shit, I’ve been losing for a long time. It’s almost as if the day I officially graduated college; I gave up. I didn’t care about finding a new job or moving out of my parent’s house. I would give up on every idea I had.

It didn’t help that I wasn’t getting laid ever.

Then again, I barely tried.

I’ve lost at most things in life. Positions, sports, competitions, school, friendships, deals, relationships…holy shit, it’s four in the morning.

For the first time in a while, I’m not losing. I wish I could be more creative with this.

Why We Sleep; A Wakeup Call

Why We Sleep; A Wakeup Call

“After thirty years of intensive research, we can now answer many of the questions posed earlier. The recycle rate of a human being is around sixteen hours. After sixteen hours of being awake, the brain begins to fail. Humans need more than seven hours of sleep each night to maintain cognitive performance. After ten days of just seven hours of sleep, the brain is as dysfunctional as it would be after going without sleep for twenty-four hours. Three full nights of recovery sleep (i.e., more nights than a weekend) are insufficient to restore performance back to normal levels after a week of short sleeping. Finally, the human mind cannot accurately sense how sleep-deprived it is when sleep-deprived.”

― Matthew Walker, Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams

When we go to bed and wake up, our work, study, and social commitments are generally determined. So, for most people who operate or think on a 9 a.m. decoration, a ‘regular’ sleep schedule would probably involve going to bed between 10 p.m. and midnight and getting up between 6 a.m. Victims of circadian rhythm sleep disturbances possess circadian timekeepers that exist non synchronized amid such a ‘normal’ slumber schedule; instead, their collection time-marker advises them to rest and rise up through very complex chronologies. This relationship between their circadian clock and social time (local light/dark cycles) is unusual…

A circadian rhythm sleep dysfunction is comparable to having persistent jet lag – a misalignment among the body timekeeper, the political time-marker time, and the sun/dark cycle. This manages to sink numb when we need to stay sleeping, feeling fully rested, and feeling sleepy during waking hours.

Victims of high-level sleep phase dysfunction have an ‘early’ circadian timekeeper; they appear sluggish and need to go bed near the early night (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and rise up fresh hours of the morning (2 a.m. Consequently, they may have been conscious several hours before they go to work and may not function properly or be intelligent. People will also undergo somnolence throughout the late midday/early night, transforming their social experiences. These sort of sleep deprivation or circadian rhythm victimization are harmful not only to one’s social situations but to their mental state as well…

In contrast, sufferers of delayed sleep phase disorder have a ‘late’ circadian clock; they cannot fall asleep until the early hours of the morning (4 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and consequently will not awake till approximate midday. This malady can produce it challenging for the person to get to a job or university on time. If people can arise up in time, they will probably not have had enough sleep and will not be alert or function well. This vessel leads to becoming fatigued…

People with ‘free-running’ hibernation guides will encounter a progressive stream each day they go into bed and awaken up. That occurs because our circadian timekeeper does not run at accurately 24 ampere-hours. It works imperceptibly increased or imperceptibly. Environmental shine beacons at specific periods of the day are necessary to fix it to operate at 24 hours. In several circumstances, certain daytime flags may not be obtained or conjectured. So the circadian timekeeper runs at its individual pace. In people with timekeepers more abundant than 24 ampere-hours, the insistence goes to bed and get up progressively later every day also shift unsynchronised to geologic time.

The scene or position a person discovers themselves can cause temporary circadian-related sleep complications, such as jet lag. Nighttime shift operators can also fight to accommodate their altered sleep schedule competently during the day. They frequently strive to maintain daytime connections and communicative engagements and their shift job design. This affects their physique timepiece to be enduringly misaligned with their desired rest patterns…

Some pathological diseases are also affiliated with disrupted sleep designs—for example, blind people with no light perspicacity bear free-running sleep patterns. At the same time, the body timekeeper makes no notice of any environmental radiation signs. So the timer flows toward its private pace. Because the inclination to rest streams crosswise the 24-hour daylight, individuals are alert at night and drowsy during the day, which can be problematical to working to work or class.

Medically related sleep dysfunctions are a big problem and should be addressed right away. The cause of sleep deprivation is not only likely fatal to you but could be harmful to others around you. Below is a video of a book read aloud by a doctor and sleep prof. “Why We Sleep. I urge you, especially the medicated, to watch this. .”

I really do love motivational shit. This year of enlightenment and realigning my values has caused some severe eye-opening moments. I love motivational shit. I mean, I love quotes, podcasts, books, speakers…you name it. Why? Because when I’m motivated, I’m driven, when I’m pushed, I get shit done, when I get shit done, I feel good. When I feel good, I am altogether a betterhappier person

I doubt that all of this was self-taught. In fact, nearly none of it was. It all began with how my parents raised me when I was younger. For a while, after college, I questioned if their techniques were just plain stupid or if they had something wrong with them. Now being almost 30, stuck in a pandemic, and working my hardest while remaining happy, I see how they raised me was the best way to be presented.

Let’s start with middle school and up what I was and what I could not do—House rules per se. I was allowed to watch whatever, as long as I was maintaining my grades. If my grades suffered, my social settings were altered. I wouldn’t be allowed to go out until this particular class’s homework was completed. I wasn’t allowed to do homework anywhere other than the kitchen—all temporary.

They used rewards over punishment. They also had a way of scaring me to death, so I’d never go against what they say, but they hardly raised their voice, never swore around me…or in general, and never hit me. Just asserting their dominance and hierarchy over me showed me I was never to disrespect ANY adult. It’s forbidden. Adults are always right. ( I don’t even know if they believe that.)

When I was 15 years old, I downed a bottle of Smirnoff Vodka in our local bowling alley’s parking lot. It was the first time I had really drank, and I had just made a new set of “cool” friends. (No offense, guys, if you’re reading, you’re definitely cool…to me.)

I had a strict curfew of 11:00pm on the weekends. Not 11:01pm not 11:02pm but 11:00pm. I was to wave at my dad to let him know I was home then I’d hurry upstairs.

That particular night, my friends had managed to sneak me into my own home, bypass my sleeping dad, and then tuck me into bed. At the time, they indeed were just trying to keep me out of trouble.

FAIL. Part of the routine was I had to wave and say hi to my dad. I didn’t do that on that particular night, which led to him coming to check on me in my room. To my understanding, he tried to get me to at least acknowledge him, but I couldn’t. I was out cold.

After waking my mom in a panic, they urged me to take a cold shower. Then, being aware of the reputation and costs that come with ambulances drove me to the ER.

I don’t remember much. I do know my very first thoughts were, “Fuck. My parents are going to KILL ME.” I thought so much about how much trouble I was in, I blurted out, “I want to kill myself; I’m in so much trouble.”

Well, nurses took that as me being suicidal, so of course, I was bound to a bed and had to stay there ALL NIGHT waiting for a psych evaluation the next day. I passed the psych evaluation with flying colors, and my dad picked me up.

That was the most awkward 12 minutes of my life. Neither of us said a word to one another. It was like it never happened. When I got home, my mom said what I had done was not only illegal, bad behavior, and wrong, but dangerous. She said she had no choice but to ground me. I have never been grounded in my life. However, it was the first night of the weekend before spring break, and my mother is a stay-at-home mom, so my grounding wasn’t going into effect until I was back in school.

She didn’t have a specific life lesson there. My bedroom is by her office, and she just knew she didn’t want me annoying her for the next week straight. So, sure enough. I was free that whole week.

I was grounded the first weekend back at school, but my best friend was allowed to sleep over; we just couldn’t go out. It may seem like I got off easy, but not being able to go out on a weekend when you’re in high school is basically like social suicide. You could be missing out on the best parties ever. Regardless, I never made that mistake again.

My mom and I have bickered back and forth my entire life. It’s safe to say I wasn’t the most pleasant child to raise, and I certainly did not like being told what to do. I’ve seen her scream and cry and yell many times, but nothing was worse than the day she went silent.

She had a birthday party thrown at a friend’s house on May 9th, 2007, and I had my own party to attend. Being in the early formation of alcoholism, I knew I absolutely couldn’t afford booze but couldn’t go sober either.

My mom had an unopened bottle of Grey Goose in her cabinet and an abundance of other varied alcohols. I knew it was wrong to steal, but I justified my action by telling myself my parents were well off and could afford a new bottle. That, or I’d pay them back.

didn’t know that taking that bottle for myself that night would cause the damage it did.

My mom, obviously, found out shortly after that I had taken it, and I confessed. I assumed, like anything, she’d bitch and yell. She didn’t. When I admitted it, she froze in her tracks, and her face turned white as a ghost, “How could you steal from me? How could you steal from your family? How could you steal something from me on my birthday. We trusted you”. The worst was she truly meant those words, and for days she looked like she had cried herself to sleep and couldn’t look me in the eyes.

begged her to let it go. I offered to pay her back double, triple, quadruple, etc., she didn’t careIt was never about the money. She watched that she trusted me, and I had betrayed her. At the time, I thought that was ridiculous. I stole one thing, one time, from a woman who had an abundance of booze already.

It wasn’t till my mid-twenties when my best friend stole my Perfume that I understood. It is not about Perfume; it’s not about the money. It’s about the fact that my friend didn’t ask, and my friend risked my trust for one bottle of Perfume. Had my friend said, like my mom quoted, “Had you asked, I might have said no. Had you asked and told me if I said no, you’d take it anyway, I would have given some to you if not all.” It was never about the vodka. It was never about the Perfume. It was about the loss of trust that comes with stealing. I can swear to this day, my mom still doesn’t fully trust me, but again I wasn’t easy to raise.

My dad, on the other hand, had a completely different relationship with my sister and me. My dad is very industrious and rarely stops thinking.  I see that now as I follow similar behaviors. Sadly, his approach is just….god awful. He was the CFO of a large steel corporation (worked his way up), and I’m sure he was often used to workers listening, pretending they care and obeying his requests. I, however, am his daughter. I didn’t listen, pretended to watch, and rarely did a thing he told me I should do. That is, at the time.

My dad and I drove to Canada 🇨🇦 , my homeland, one time alone together. On the ride, he allowed me to play my favorite music. I played the same song by Tegan and Sara about four times in a row until he noticed. He then said he had a cool tape to listen to. It was from Harvey Silver. Honestly, I’m taking a jab at the last name. It was a motivational speaker who is very, very good.

I was 16, I could care less what this old man had to say. That is, at the time. I pretended I liked him, so my dad made me a cd and then a USB of his talks in time. I didn’t throw it out… but I definitely didn’t listen to it.

learned mostly from my dad by observing things. He thought the strangest things were interesting. He could spend hours explaining dog behavior, the solar system, stars, suns burning out, and his favorite topic- how to be successful. Otherwise, he remained relatively quiet and reserved. A life skill we all, including me, need to work on.

Where I thought his method was faulty was the timing he had for me. He wanted me to be successful, and of course, that’s what I want too. But not at 15,16,17,18,19 or even 20-23. I wanted to be successful when I realized how miserable it was to be unsuccessful. Instead of treating me appropriately for my age, he honestly treated me like he thought I must have thought I cared about the stuff. My mom was the deception catcher, not my dad. He always must have thought I was much smarter than I am to care about Harvey Silver’s motivational “tapes” when I’m 16. Nonetheless, that USB and Harvey silver are something I listen to regularly now. He is an excellent motivational speaker, and now his words work for me.

My older sister wasn’t such a challenge to raise. She figured out my parent’s system and became self-aware at a VERY early age.  Because of her mindset, she cared less about her high school friends and more about her current and future plans to get away from my parents’ house during summer vacations and post high school.

One summer, she was a lifeguard in Colorado (we lived in Illinois); another summer, she built houses with habitat for humanity in Louisiana right after Katrina hit. Following the graduation of a university with a BA in anthropology (in Canada), she looked for jobs in her career path, but she had backup plans. It wasn’t and still isn’t realistic to assume you’ll get a job in your primary right after you graduate.

While she miserably lived in Illinois for three months working retail, she took her TEFL course. Basically, she got the hell out of here, Illinois.

She taught in South Korea (where she met her now-husband), Turkey, China, and now just had her first child also raised him in the Amazon! The soul of Brazil. Well-traveled, head on her shoulders, she is my opposite but my inspiration. I can only hope everyone young follows a path similar to hers. She has never been slothful and always appears to concentrate on what matters.

My mom is a remarkable lady of many varied talents. My choice and most required of her skills was her technique to cheer me up. Comforting me when a boyfriend or crush let me down. This occurred approximately twice a week and even now proceeds.

To this day, she continuously begins by maintaining watch something humorous or light-hearted. She next tells me to go for a stroll. I didn’t know why, but it would become scientifically confirmed that laugh enhances the mood. Harmful tv regularly solely guides you downward. Not stating we shouldn’t watch good tv programs, simply view them under the proper mindset. If that didn’t work, it transpired, “Here is $40.00 go to Best Buy”. At that time, $40.00 could get me at least one DVD and perhaps a cheap price/ clearance CD. You wanted at smallest $50.00 to get a season like Supernatural. Did this boost lousy purchasing practices? Certainly and not. If I gain happiness in attaining $20.00 personally, this will typically occur in some thrift shop or the dollar tree.

Being a grown-up, I didn’t, and continue to not have cash. I had to decide ways to comfort myself and nevertheless proceed to study how to manage my moods. My father evermore listened to this weird, croaking trachea sounding fellow called George Carlin. I have never noticed my father chuckle harder than entertaining George Carlin.

I got significantly down at myself one time during college. I didn’t need to cry to my parents because both lived too remote anyhow. I chose to youtube George Carlin. I figured if my dad was laughing really hard and he’s a hardass, it has to be somewhat entertaining.

It wasn’t until then I realized I was ready to listen to some of my fathers EARLY on advice. George Carlin was fucking hilarious. Even better was his book, brain droppings. I enjoyed him so much, I retrieved my Harvey Silver (Motivational Speaker) USB and listened to it. It wasn’t until I was a grown-up that I could enjoy these “grown-up” things. My dad is an extremely humble, tactful, and successfully wealthy man. If any adult wants to achieve these things, they can by observing another successful person’s behavior. I decided to go back in time and listen and read everything my dad had tried to get me to in the past. It was highly beneficial to my well-being in the long run.

My parents had no plan to raise my sister and me a certain way. That’s maybe why it worked. They were smart, good-hearted people who had a family when they were ready to and a marriage that was more of a bone and partnership than a lovey-dovey bullshit fest.

My parents raised me the way they felt they should. Being a good, honest, motivated, and reliable hard worker was more important than being book smart. Manners trumped intelligence, for intelligent people should have manners. They encouraged me to be whatever I want, but I warned myself from a young age not to set unrealistic goals. Amen. There are just somethings we are good at and somethings we are not.

Through my terrible twenties, I often reflect on my parents’ things and did when I was younger and try to “mimic” them. I mean, my dad worked his way from a cubicle to the top three best CFOs in Chicago in 2015, and my mom had everything she wanted and didn’t have to do tedious work. My sister always did things right (or so it seemed), and that to me was a reason to be motivated.

Observation, realization, and comprehension are critical elements of growing up. I didn’t listen to half the shit my parents said, but I was always observing them. Coming from a prosperous family meant that I was gifted with the opportunity to get ahead in life by watching how my dad and my mom went about situations.

I love motivational shit because my dad loves motivational shit, and my mom likes tv shows that make your heart happy. Motivational shit, no matter how cheesy, is going to light the flame in your subconscious. Focusing on the negative is just going to send yourself the wrong messages. I love motivational shit because it keeps me in check, aligns my values, and opens my eyes to these common-sense things that are all around me.

Speaking negatively of themselves or others, accuse somebody, bicker, bitch, whine, sigh, and exhaust me, is wasting my time. If you are that person, you may need to take a glance at your purpose. Why are you so negative? Ask yourself what you can do, to not be the person that no one wants to be around.

Realistically, how much fun is that to be around? I don’t ever feel better after talking to someone who has nothing of importance and only negative things to say. They’re dragging me down to their level and beating me with a stupid stick while wasting enormous amounts of my time.

Self-motivation is developed. We learn from example what we need to do to succeed or learn from failure what we need to do to achieve.  Sadly, some of us never learn to become self-aware at all.

I taught myself that no motivation fairy was coming down to fix my attitude and that if I’m going to be what I want, I have to actually try. So many times, I tell someone to read a book; it’s great. I get the same response, “You know, I don’t really like reading…I did when I was a kid.” And I reply the same answer every time, “No one likes to read. Start slow and train yourself. It’s not the reading itself that I enjoy. It’s what it does to my brain that I enjoy”.

So there you have a swift, simple motivation to grow up and do something with your life. I can vouch, motivational shit accomplishes.  Learn personage that motivates you; investigate everything you can regarding them. This includes their written works, speeches, hobbies, and even what they eat regularly. If they are living the life you want, it’s safe to mimic their habits.

Your character and observed state appear right from everything you satisfy your brain with.

Below are the most basic motivational recitations you will ever read. Many are from my own parents, but not all. I am inspired by people with extreme wealth and power. Thus, I read their works daily. Nevertheless, different inspirational personalities equally demand additional noble quotes to motivate yourself to be the most vigorous you can be.

  1. The worst thing you can do is ruin someone’s day – my mom

2. Don’t take shortcuts, do the job right the first time – my dad

3. Don’t befriend those who lie, cheat, or steal even once. – my mother

4. You’re a crazy lady. – my sister

5. White lies aren’t okay. Stop making excuses for your behavior. – my parents

6. If you are too sick to go to school, you are too ill to hang out with friends. – my mom

7. (In regards to dating in my twenties) He should have a full-time job, a car, and not live with his parents. – my dad

8. Stop getting upset over these stupid, worthless boys. If they don’t see that you’re great, why do you even care? – my mom

9. (This is my favorite) wow, you’re attitude has been so negative the past couple of days; I think I need a break from talking to you – my mom

10. Stop interrupting me – my mom

11. No matter how old you are or where you are in life, farts will always be funny – my sister

12. Instead of the face, all these problems, listen to others who have already faced them. – my dad

13. Money doesn’t grow on trees – my parents

14. Karma is a bitch – my sister

15. If you want to impress a guy, keep your home orderly. Especially your kitchen sink and bathroom. – my dad

16. Your eyes look a little brown. You must be full of shit – my uncle

17. I’m bored with this topic, let’s change it – my mom

18. Every female needs the right hair products and right skin products – my mother

19. I don’t have a good job because I’m lazy. I have a good job because I was poor and decided to work hard. – my dad

20. Routines are fundamental. Go to bed and wake up at a regular time. – my dad

21. “Hire the best.” – Steve Jobs

22. “Inch by inch, life is a synch, yard by yard, life is hard” – Harvey Silver

But lastly, I’d like to contribute my own. “laziness never got me a job. Negativity never made me admirable. Lack of self-care kept me single, and allowing liars to be friends cost me everything I’ve ever owned. Success comes at a price we all can afford. Motivate ourselves slowly. Teach what we learn along the way. You get what you give, so make it positive. Even when shit sucks, complaining is never the answer.”

High-Quality relationships; What to look for and what to avoid

“Find someone who loves you for YOU.” – 12 signs of a toxic relationship

If a woman has these 15 qualities never let her go

Whether you are unsure if the person you’re with is the one.  Whether you just got into a relationship or just got out of one, understanding what you need from your partner to succeed is most important.  SO, if you’re on edge or want to be sure, it’s VITAL that the person you’re with exhibits high qualities.  Both men and women, though similar, have different qualities that set them apart.  See below for those qualities.

  1. They are intellectually challenging [Keep you open and available to other and alternative ideas

2. Carries herself with class [A high-quality woman does not need to show her cleavage to get the job, she is confident in her mind to get it.  She doesn’t need to dress a sure way to get someone’s attention.  She dresses and carries herself tastefully.  Even in sweatpants, she walks with grace]

3. Honest & Genuine [honesty is the best policy, it’s the foundation of every successful relationship]

4. She compromises [it’s hard for a woman to give up what she wants.  A woman who compromises is a woman with self-awareness and is aware of what is important to you.  She is willing to sacrifice her wants for yours when she knows it is for the best, and it will make you happy.

5. She is kind, generous, and empathetic [believes in you& compassionate towards you]

6. She is consistent [her personality does not change no matter how much times differ.  It’s the opposite of volatility.  Moodiness gets old]

7. She accepts your flaws [doesn’t criticize you.  Never makes you feel inferior, unaccepted, or not good enough.  Builds you up]

8. She has a good relationship with her parents. [If you want to, you want to know how she will treat you in 30 years?  See how she treats her parents now.]

9. She holds similar values as you [the things you find essential, non-negotiable values, i.e., views on issues that are deal-breakers, the things you believe in strongly, the way you treat others, the way you treat yourself]

10.She can move past jealousy. [some jealousy is natural; both partners must trust each other and are sensible.  Personal space is essential for growth]

11.She supports your goals and pursues her own [a strong woman will motivate you and not be dependent on you.  She inspires you to be the best version of yourself]

Important to note:

  •  romantic attraction is essential, but it’s what brings us together.  It shouldn’t be what keeps you together.  Without similar interests, goals, trust, or interests, your relationship is collapsable
  •  you don’t like their friends.  “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.” A person’s friends act as a reflection of the person.
  • Spending too much time together may erode your sense of self.  Saying someone is your whole world is romantic but actual means co-dependency.
  •  You give much more than you get back.  Both you and your partner should be doing the work.  If one or the other is always the first to text, organize, make plans, etc., it’s not a mutually beneficial or respected relationship.
  • You feel controlled.  Your opinions and decisions are overwritten—the expectation for you to follow along quietly with your partner’s choices.  A  toxic and can often lead to abuse.  Get out of this relationship.
  •  You are not respected. Your partner should value your opinion.  They don’t have to agree with you, but they MUST respect your beliefs.
  •  You cannot be yourself around them.  Yes, we filter our personalities on our first impressions.  What about the second, or third, or thousand impressions?  We shouldn’t feel required to act new forever.
  • You don’t feel accepted. Your partner has a plan for bettering you.  They work like they want a different person than the one in front of them.  They don’t see your worth.
  • Fighting is a HUGE red flag.  Yelling, screaming, volatile behavior, or words, especially early in the relationship, is a CLEAR sign of incompatibility—no chance to grow healthy.
  • You don’t trust each other.  Healthy, lasting relationships require mutual trust.  Learn to trust each other or end it.
  •  Your partner is rude to other people.  It’s a red flag.  If they turn around and yell at a stranger, be wary.  They may be putting on a persuade to make you like them.
  • Passive-aggressive. Backhanded compliments or sarcastic remarks sign that your partner is unsatisfied with something you are saying or doing. Suppose they cannot be humble and clear and use passive-aggressiveness as their form of retaliation.  Walk away.  They are immature.
  • The timing isn’t right.  No matter how much you want to be with someone, you may not be ready yet.  You may still be getting over an ex; you may have different paths right now. “If it’s meant to be, let it go; it will come back to you. If it is not meant to be, your paths won’t cross, but a lesson has been learned.” – Wise Person

How do you know if you’ve met the one?  What if you already have? Here are ten signs

1. You share strength in good times and bad.  You are each other’s rock.  Your soulmate will always be a shoulder to cry on.

2. You connect emotionally.  Soulmates understand their partners solely.  You and your partner may deal with your own emotions differently, but you get each other.

8. You share values. It doesn’t matter how your life has unfolded, but you need to share your experience through a similar lens.

5. You both put in equal effort.  If you found the one, your partner will be just as eager as you are. You are organizing time together, equivalent texting, etc.

6. You have crossed paths before.  Do your lives seem to effortless intertwine?  This sign is INCREDIBLY essential; it means your time blends.  Your lives mirror each other.  Your visions are most likely similar.

7. You don’t hide anything.  In the early stages, we hide.  We show only our best self.  As the relationship grows, do you keep playing pretend? or do you expose your vulnerabilities?  If you’re hiding late into the relationship, you are not with your soulmate.

9. You openly express concerns.  You need to be comfortable telling what makes your partner excited and what makes them feel insecure.  Real problems unaddressed will kill the relationship.

10. When you imagine your future is your partner in it?  Soulmates envision their future with their partner in it.  They build a lot in mind.  It doesn’t matter what you expect in your future, but it’s impossible to envision a future without your soulmate.  If you don’t see your soulmate in your future, then you most likely haven’t met your soulmate.

What works, what doesn’t?

True love is kind, patient, and gentle.  Your love for one another is why neither will give up on trying, even in the most challenging times.  You don’t just throw in the towel.  You patiently stay by their side and work through it together.

Some people think conflict is a deal-breaker.  Conflict is inevitable in any healthy relationship.  You cannot agree on EVERYTHING- a healthy amount is beneficial for your relationship.  Showing you can compromise your beliefs or actions for your partner shows your partner that you care about their opinions and ideas.  It shows them you care.

If you love someone, or they love you, you stay loyal and faithful.  You care about the history you have together and the life you share with them.  Falling in love makes everyone else in comparison, no matter how attractive, not worth pursuing.  You never think of ditching each other; even when the “honeymoon phase” burns out, you respect your partner enough not to risk losing what dreams you have together.  You two work together to help each other find your dreams

Relationships don’t need to be perfect, but they need to be worthwhile.  Trust, respect, compromise, and patience are all critical components of any relationship in general.

If you are in denial but notice your partner or lack these qualities or tips, you are unsure of your relationship. If you are not on the same page, nothing is a more significant waste of time and heart space.
